Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College (NBCBC) is recruiting full- and/or part-time faculty members to teach in this and other De Montfort University programmes.
The Job
We are recruiting teachers for September 1 st 2023 to teach undergraduate Strategy and Management modules on the DMU Programmes.
Job Profile
The tutor may cover a variety of modules within Strategy and Management.
We envision the successful candidate to have a good understanding of a wide range of theoretical perspectives within the listed subject area(s) and an insight into empirically supported “real world” models. NBCBC is committed to a pluralistic approach to teaching and has a strong cross-subject focus on sustainability. Understanding of cross-cultural pedagogy is also considered a plus.
Modules and functions
Modules are taught according to a fixed schedule and will generally be placed in the timespan Monday-Friday 8:00-17:00. However, some modules are taught in the evening until 20:30.
In addition to teaching, general tutor functions also include marking, tutorial sessions, participation in relevant meetings as well as general communication with NBCBC/ De Montfort University students, colleagues, and management. Strong communications skills are imperative.
Employment
Employment will be secured as per collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the AC trade union.

The requirements for the position
The requirements for this position are that you possess:
A relevant master's degree, at a minimum, though a Ph.D. is preferred.
The ability to speak and write English fluently (Danish is not a requirement.) Note that conversational English capability differs from mastery of the language at a sufficiently high level to teach in an academic setting. This position demands exceptionally strong English language speaking and writing skills.
Relevant college-level teaching experience; research experience is a plus.
Administering courses in a hybrid online/onsite format.
The desire to develop and test online course materials.
Danish work and residence permits.
A talent for cultural understanding and working cooperatively with a diverse group of colleagues and students from not only Europe and Asia but from all over the world.
About you
You are an aspiring or experienced tutor who genuinely enjoys interacting with adult international students. In addition to excellent communicative skills, you have a keen eye for details and deadlines as well as a natural focus on continuous improvement. As a colleague you are team-oriented and helpful with a keen interest in knowledge-sharing.

The interview
As part of the interview, you should prepare a 10-minute teaching session in English where you explain a relevant concept in Strategy and Management of your own choosing. This should include some supporting teaching material such as power point slides. The small interview panel will include management as well as potential future colleagues.
